The Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Matt Moore agreed to a one-year contract, the team announced Saturday.

The deal is worth $9 million, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The 34-year-old is the fifth reliever Los Angeles brought in this winter and is the second major addition in the last couple of days. Robert Stephenson agreed to a three-year, $33-million deal over the weekend and joins fellow additions Luis Garcia, Adam Cimber, and Zach Plesac.

Last season, Moore pitched for the Angels, Cleveland Guardians, and Miami Marlins. He posted a 2.56 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 60 strikeouts over 52 2/3 innings. Since becoming a reliever in 2022, Moore owns a 2.20 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 143 strikeouts across 126 2/3 innings.

Angels relievers ranked 19th in strikeouts, 25th in ERA, and 28th in WHIP last season.
