Former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on July 5 in Las Vegas as part of International Fight Week, the promotion announced during Saturday night's UFC 225.

"This is an immense honor, to not only take part in bringing women to the forefront of this sport, but now the UFC Hall of Fame," Rousey said in a prepared statement via the Los Angeles Times. "May I be the first of many."

Rousey broke the mold for women in the UFC, convincing Dana White to let females fight in the promotion after dominating in Strikeforce. Rousey was the UFC's first female champion, reigning as the bantamweight queen from 2012 to 2015, when she famously lost to Holly Holm.

The Olympic bronze medalist is one of the biggest pioneers MMA has ever seen, going from champion to movie star to WWE superstar throughout her career. She had one of the most impressive runs in the Octagon, securing four straight first-round stoppage wins between February 2014 and August 2015. Her total cage time during that stretch was just two minutes and ten seconds.

Rousey will join Forrest Griffin, B.J. Penn, and Urijah Faber as the fourth member of the hall's modern wing.
