What you need to know

U.S. take on Fins in the semis

In their quest for gold, the American women will need to get past the pesky Fins; a team the U.S. beat 3-1 in game one. Since opening PyeongChang 2018 with two straight losses, Finland performed admirably against the Olympic Athletes from Russia and Sweden, outscoring their opponents 12-3 en route to the semis.

Shib siblings make ice dancing debut

The highly anticipated event featuring the "Shib Sibs," Maia and Alex Shibutani, who return to the ice after helping the U.S. win a bronze medal in the team event. The brother and sister duo will skate alongside Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, as well as fellow American pairs Madison Chock and Evan Bates, and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue.

Update: Hubbell and Donohue sit third after the short program, while the Shibutani siblings are in fourth.

After winning slopestyle gold, Anderson makes her return

Now with two gold medals to her name in women's slopestyle, American phenom Jamie Anderson will look to make her mark in the big air qualifiers. Joining her in competition is Canadian Laurie Blouin, who defied a hard fall and black eye suffered in training, only to capture silver a few days later.

Update: Anderson put up a score of 90.00 on her second run, good enough for sixth place and the highest score of the three Americans to qualify for the big air final.

Bowman out to defend 2014 Sochi gold in women's halfpipe

Bowman, who won this event thanks to a remarkable set at Sochi 2014, is once again a favorite at PyeongChang 2018. Joining her at the qualifiers will be Americans Devin Logan, Brita Sigourney, and Annalisa Drew.

Update: Sigourney, Drew, and Bowman all qualified for the halfpipe final sitting in third, fifth, and sixth place respectively after qualification.
