What you need to know

Vonn makes PyeongChang 2018 debut; Shiffrin says no thanks

The wait is over. Six-time World Champion Lindsey Vonn will make her long-awaited debut in the Women's super-G final. Vonn, who captured gold in Vancouver 2010 in the downhill event, will compete without gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, who declined to participate.

Update: Vonn fails to medal in super-G after 8-year Olympic absence

Chen searches for answers against stiff figure skating competition

Nathan Chen has failed to live up to the hype thus far at PyeongChang 2018. The 18-year-old, who posted an underwhelming 82.27 in the short program, has one shot of redemption as he hopes to land on the podium in his Olympic debut. Adam Rippon fared better as the confident young skater placed seventh on Thursday.

Update: Chen's brilliant performance in free skate nets 5th-place finish

Logan in mix for medal in slopestyle final

Devin Logan, 24, enters the women's slopestyle final in hopes of back-to-back medals after earning silver at Sochi 2014. The Oceanside, N.Y. native will be in tough against quality competition, specifically from Canada, as Dara Howell and Kim Lamarre aspire a return to the podium.
