Chicago Sky star Candace Parker said she currently plans to return for her 16th WNBA campaign in 2023.
"Right now, yeah, I'm game," Parker told The Athletic's Richard Deitsch. "Let's see if my body feels this way in January or February, but I plan to play. I plan to come back."
The 36-year-old averaged 13.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game last season, her second with the Sky. She earned first-team All-WNBA honors.
Parker helped lead Chicago to the WNBA championship in 2021. The Sky fell short in their efforts to repeat, losing to the Connecticut Sun in the 2022 semifinals.
The former two-time MVP played 13 seasons for the Los Angeles Sparks before signing with Chicago in 2021.
