Seven-time All-Star Cappie Pondexter announced her retirement from the WNBA through her Instagram account Tuesday.

In 13 campaigns spent between the Phoenix Mercury, New York Liberty, Chicago Sky, Los Angeles Sparks, and Indiana Fever, Pondexter averaged 16.4 points, 3.8 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and one steal across 416 regular-season appearances.

In addition to capturing two league titles with the Mercury in 2007 and 2009, the scrappy point guard was named to the "WNBA's Top 15 Players of All Time" list in 2011 and the "WNBA Top 20@20" in 2016. She was also an Olympic gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Games.

"Cappie Pondexter is one of the greatest players and fiercest competitors in WNBA history," the league's acting president Mark Tatum said in a statement. "She made her mark on the league with her vibrant personality and distinctive style, earning two WNBA championships and seven All-Star selections along the way. We expect more great things from her in whatever she does next and wish her nothing but the best."
