Seattle Storm superstar Breanna Stewart and reigning WNBA MVP suffered a torn Achilles while playing for Russian side Dynamo Kursk in Sunday's EuroLeague title game in Hungary, her father, Brian, told Syracuse.com's Donna Ditota.

"I don't think it's a career-ending type of injury," Brian Stewart said. "But it's certainly going to put her in the barn for a while."

Breanna Stewart played a commanding role for the Storm en route to the franchise's third WNBA title last September. In 34 games, she averaged 21.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 41.5 percent on 3-pointers.

The upcoming season will tip off on May 24.
