Dustin Johnson won't participate in the upcoming Zozo Championship after testing positive for COVID-19 last week, according to ESPN's Bob Harig.

The world No. 1 missed the CJ Cup last week following his diagnosis. Though he would be eligible to return Thursday for the start of the Zozo Championship, Johnson wants to get additional rest and prepare for the Houston Open.

"Unfortunately, Dustin just made the decision to withdraw from Zozo," his agent, David Winkle, told Harig. "While he is feeling much better, he is still a bit low on energy and feels it would be best to wait and resume his schedule in Houston. "

The Houston Open is set to kick off on Nov. 2, a week prior to the Masters.
