Phil Mickelson will not be out of work for long once he's done playing competitive golf.

The 50-year-old jumped in the booth with Jim Nantz and Nick Faldo for a portion of the PGA Championship's Round 3 broadcast and flourished as a color commentator.

Mickelson provided unique insight, analysis, and of course, plenty of one-liners, benefitting from having played TPC Harding Park earlier in the day.

Social media heaped plenty of praise on Lefty.

Comparisons to Tony Romo, who transition seamlessly from the NFL into a broadcast role, also poured in.

People began to worry about Faldo's job security.

Mickelson didn't hold back from taking a jab at Faldo, either.

One day, Mickelson might be getting paid a hefty sum to talk about golf.
