It seems Patrick Reed will never live down his cheating incident at the Hero World Challenge in December.

Reed received a two-stroke penalty for improving his lie by sweeping sand away from his ball in a waste area in the Bahamas.

Brooks Koepka was asked about the incident Tuesday and did not hold back.

"Uh, yeah," he said on SiriusXM when asked if Reed cheated. "I mean, I don't know what he was doing, building sandcastles in the sand, but you know where your club is. I took three months off and I can promise you I know if I touched sand."

Koepka mentioned that infractions such as Reed's happen more often than many realize, but most players keep quiet.

"We bite our tongue a lot," he said. "It's one of those things, guys will hit it in the rough, then all of a sudden they've got 3-wood out and they're down there patting it down. It's interesting. It goes on a little more than people think."

The world No. 2 said he wouldn't hesitate to be a whistle-blower if he sees such actions moving forward.

"I've been guilty of it - I haven't opened my mouth. But I think now if I saw it, just because of where I'm at in the game, the stature that I have, I think now I would definitely say something."

Cam Smith, an opponent of Reed's at the Presidents Cup, roasted him for cheating before the event took place. Even Reed's own American teammate, Justin Thomas, poked fun at Reed by mocking the sand-sweeping incident.

Reed, who lost the Hero World Challenge by two strokes, said afterward that he got a raw deal.
