Koepka honors July Fourth by donating 2016 Ryder Cup shoes to charity
Brooks Koepka dug deep into the closet to find his footwear for Round 1 of the 3M Open in Minneapolis on Thursday.
In his first trip back to the state of Minnesota since winning the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine, Koepka pulled out his American-themed shoes on Independence Day. He plans to donate the kicks to charity after the round, according to Golf Channel's Todd Lewis.

The shoes will be put up for auction on the 3M Open tournament's website during Friday's second round. Koepka will match the winning bid, doubling the total donated to charity.
The 29-year-old earned three points for the victorious American side during his Ryder Cup debut in 2016.
