Quick hits from Thursday's Wyndham Championship opening round
Top quote - Henrik Stenson
"A good day out there," Stenson told the Golf Channel after a career-low 62. "If anything I thought I played even better yesterday in the pro-am."
Best round - Matt Every (61)
Every posted a bogey-free 61 in the first round, making an eagle, seven birdies, and 10 pars to grab a one-shot lead after Day 1 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
"It was good. I'm just happy to be playing good again," Every told pgatour.com. "The last couple of years have been brutal for me. A lot of people would've quit, so it's good to be back."

Shot of the day - Matt Every
The 33-year-old's fantastic round began with a hole-out eagle at the par-4 first, knocking a 105-yard wedge shot into the hole.
Biggest disappointment - Graeme McDowell
McDowell's chances of making it inside the top 125 of the FedEx Cup standings are fading, thanks to 1-over 71. The 2010 U.S. Open champion opened his round with back-to-back birdies, but was inconsistent the rest of the way, and sits in a tie for 117th place.
Stat - 3 were perfect
Cameron Smith, C.T. Pan and Davis Love III hit all 18 greens in regulation on Thursday at Sedgefield Country Club. Smith posted 7-under 63, while the 53-year-old Love turned back the clock with a 64, and Pan carded a 67.
Friday's storyline
- Geoff Ogilvy, Zac Blair and McDowell all need better results on Friday or the 2017 season is over for all three players.
