Colorado Avalanche defenseman Ryan Graves delivered one of the biggest hits of the season on Edmonton Oilers forward Alex Chiasson during Wednesday night's game.

Chiasson was visibly shaken up on the play and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Head coach Dave Tippett said postgame that Chiasson was in concussion protocol, according to The Athletic's Daniel Nugent-Bowman.

Immediately after the check, Oilers blue-liner Adam Larsson, who made the suicide pass that led to Graves' hit, elbowed Colorado forward T.J. Tynan in the face, earning himself a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

The Oilers managed to kill off the five-minute power play.

Larsson has never been suspended in his career.
