The Buffalo Sabres signed a pair of prospects on Sunday, inking forwards Daniel O'Regan and Nicholas Baptiste to one-year, two-way deals, the team announced.

Baptiste's contract is worth $787,500 at the NHL level, while O'Regan's carries an NHL value of $874,125.

O'Regan, 25, split the 2017-18 season between the Sabres and San Jose Sharks, recording four assists across 21 games. The German native was selected in the fifth round of the 2012 draft (138th overall) and made his professional debut during the 2016-17 season for the Sharks' AHL affiliate. O'Regan led the league in rookie scoring with 58 points that campaign, going on to win the Red Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL rookie of the year.

Baptiste, meanwhile, is more likely to have an impact for the Sabres next season. The 22-year-old Ottawa native played in a career-high 33 games during the 2017-18 season for the Sabres, registering four goals and two assists. Baptiste was Buffalo's 69th overall selection in the third round of the 2013 draft.
