Tyreek: Dolphins fans 'should be amped' for 2023

Tyreek Hill is happy with what he's seen since joining the Miami Dolphins and is letting fans know he expects the team to be even stronger in 2023.

"The season went exactly as planned," Hill said on the latest episode of his "It Needed To Be Said" podcast. "We (were) able to get my dog, Tua (Tagovailoa), right, get this whole offense on a path that it's never seen before. It was top five in every category. ... All the playmakers, we (were) able to stick together and make plays all season through so much adversity."

He added: "Dolphins fans ... that should get you all amped for next year because each and every year is about building and we're building into the right direction."

Hill, whom the Dolphins acquired as part of a blockbuster trade from the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2022, put on a show in his first year with Miami, setting career highs with 119 receptions for 1,710 yards. He also scored nine touchdowns.

Hill helped Tagovailoa post the most efficient season of his career, as the quarterback finished with a league-best 105.5 passer rating in 13 games. However, Tagovailoa missed multiple contests due to concussion issues, including the wild-card game loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins went 8-5 with Tagovailoa as the starter but only 1-3 without him and remain without a playoff win since 2000.

Miami, which ranked 24th in points allowed in 2022, added to its defense this year. After acquiring pass-rusher Bradley Chubb midway through last season, the Dolphins traded for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey and hired Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator this offseason.
