Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Von Miller offered a rough timetable for his return to the field Tuesday as he rehabs from last season's torn ACL.

"The most important thing for me is just to be available when my team really needs me," Miller said, according to Zach Dimmitt of Sports Illustrated. "If that's Week 1, then I'll be happy for that. If that's Week 6, I'll be happy for that. But I guarantee it won't be any later than that. Whatever it takes for me to get to that point, that's what I'll do."

Miller went down in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions with the injury. He missed the remainder of the season and underwent surgery Dec. 6. He still finished tied for the team lead in sacks with eight.

"I'm good, I'm in a great spot," Miller said. "I feel like I can do way more and I feel like that's a good sign."

The Bills had 40 sacks in 2022 but only 10 total sacks in the five regular-season games after Miller's injury. They recorded one sack in their divisional-round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Buffalo didn't make any significant upgrades to its pass-rush arsenal this offseason and will bank on the development of young talent including Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Boogie Basham.

Miller, the Super Bowl 50 MVP, has 123.5 sacks in 161 career games.
