The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with former Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Penny is set to return from a broken fibula that limited him to five games last season. He was off to an explosive start prior to the injury, averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

A first-round pick in 2018, Penny broke out in 2021, his fourth season in the NFL. He averaged a league-leading 6.3 yards per carry and accumulated 749 rushing yards and six scores.

Penny has built a reputation for his ability to break off big runs. Since 2021, he ripped off 13 carries for 25-plus yards, second most in the league during that span.

He'll now join an Eagles rushing attack that ranked fifth in the NFL with 147.6 yards per game last season. Miles Sanders led Philadelphia in rushing with 1,269 yards but is a free agent, and his return is uncertain.
