Quarterback Justin Fields has addressed his postgame comments Sunday regarding Chicago Bears fans.

Fields went viral following Chicago's 27-10 Sunday Night Football defeat to the Green Bay Packers after he told reporters that the result hurt more in their locker room than for fans since Bears supporters aren't "putting in any work."

On Wednesday, the 23-year-old signal-caller attributed his comments to frustration and made clear that he didn't intend to disrespect fans of the franchise.

"Yeah, I was mad after the game. I'd like to address this now to get everything cleared up. But, there was a thing I said on Sunday after the game where I said the fans don't put in work," Fields said. "First off, I was frustrated after the game. No. 1, I didn't want to come and talk to you guys. I wasn't in the mood to come and talk to you guys. So, I should've done a better job of explaining what I meant by that."

He continued: "What I meant by that is I'm talking about work regarding the game on Sunday, winning the game. I don't know any fans. I don't know what they're doing in their personal lives. I respect every fan that we have. I'm glad that we have fans. I would never disrespect anybody on what they do or what they love to do."

The former 2021 No. 11 pick attempted just 11 passes Sunday. He completed seven throws for 70 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Fields has completed 53.6% of his passes for 191 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. The 1-1 Bears take on the Houston Texans in Week 3.
