Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has emerged as an early favorite in the Denver Broncos' search for a head coach, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Quinn is set to interview with Denver next week. He worked alongside Broncos general manager George Paton with the Miami Dolphins from 2005-06. Quinn served as a defensive line coach while Paton was director of pro personnel.

The Broncos submitted interview requests for numerous candidates. Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett reportedly had a strong meeting with the club, according to Pelissero.

The Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings are the other clubs reportedly interested in speaking to Quinn.

Quinn spent six seasons as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons prior to joining the Cowboys in 2021. He took the Falcons to a Super Bowl in 2017, though they were defeated. He has a 43-43 record as a head coach.
