Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift is day-to-day with a shoulder injury, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Head coach Dan Campbell said Swift suffered a shoulder sprain.

The 22-year-old tailback left Thursday's 16-14 loss to the Chicago Bears in the second quarter and did not return. He exited the contest with no rushing yards on three attempts.

Swift appeared to hurt his shoulder on a tackle by Bears linebacker Roquan Smith (who left the contest with a hamstring ailment and also didn't return).

Jamaal Williams took the majority of snaps with Swift sidelined. He rushed for 65 yards on 15 carries to go along with three receptions.

A second-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Swift leads the Lions with 555 rushing yards and four rushing scores while averaging 4 yards per carry in 2021. His 56 receptions for 429 yards are second to only tight end T.J. Hockenson on the team.

The Lions don't play again until Dec. 5, when Detroit will seek its first victory of the season against the Minnesota Vikings.
