Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale is jumping on the Mac Jones bandwagon with both feet.

The Houston-based furniture store owner, known for his promotions and sports betting enthusiasm, placed $2 million in wagers on Thursday on the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LVI, which could result in one of the largest payouts in U.S. sports betting history should Bill Belichick's club hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Mack's wager includes $750,000 at theScore Bet and $1.25 million at Barstool Sportsbook, both at +2300 odds. His potential payout is $46 million.

In June, McIngvale placed a $2-million wager on his hometown Astros to win the World series at 10-1 odds. He also wagered $100,000 with theScore Bet in Colorado, where Houston was 16-1.

McIngvale has had success betting on the Super Bowl before, notably putting $3.5 million on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to cover (+3.5) against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. The Bucs won the game handily 30-9.

The 70-year-old's large sports bets are often tied, and serve as a hedge, to promotions for his furniture business, Gallery Furniture. He offered full refunds to all customers who made a purchase of more than $3,000 at his store with a Tampa cover. He offered a similar promotion to customers tied to the Astros beating the Atlanta Braves. They ultimately lost the World Series in six games.

In October, McIngvale threw out the first pitch as the Astros hosted the Chicago White Sox in the American League Division Series.
