New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney missed the conditioning portion of practice at rookie camp Friday because his cleats were the wrong size.

Toney looked to be uncomfortable throughout the session, and he played around with his footwear several times.

"First day on the field, I think there's a little bit of an equipment issue," head coach Joe Judge told reporters. "We have to get that straightened out and make sure our guys hit the field with equipment they are comfortable with. We'll handle that; make sure it's not an issue going forward."

At one point, Toney went through a drill with one shoe and one foot bare. He left the field afterward to change his shoes.

The Giants selected Toney with the 20th pick of the 2021 draft. He's set to join a receiving corps on a team that added Kenny Golladay in the offseason too, and New York's offense also features Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard.
