Free-agent wide receiver Corey Coleman received a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Coleman spent time with the New York Giants in 2020 but didn't appear in a game. He settled into a role as kickoff returner for the Giants in 2018 while also seeing occasional snaps on offense, but his momentum was stunted in 2019 when he tore his ACL in training camp.

The Cleveland Browns drafted Coleman 15th overall out of Baylor in 2016. Memorably, he dared the Browns to trade him in a meeting with Hue Jackson that aired on HBO's "Hard Knocks" in 2018, and Cleveland shipped him to the Buffalo Bills days later. The Bills cut him less than a month after acquiring him.

Coleman, 26, posted 61 receptions for 789 yards and five touchdowns across 27 appearances split between the Browns and Giants.
