Many observers wrote off the Indianapolis Colts after Andrew Luck retired shortly before Week 1, but Jacoby Brissett is filling in admirably so far.

Brissett completed 28 of 37 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 27-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Head coach Frank Reich sang his praises following the effort.

"Jacoby was unreal,” Reich told reporters, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic. "You can't play quarterback much better than he did today."

Reich added, "We just had a lot of confidence from Day 1. Everything about him says that he has (confidence). … He's doing it. This is as great as he's played today."

Through three weeks, Brissett's completed nearly 72% of his passes and has thrown for seven touchdowns to just one interception. Indianapolis is tied for the AFC South lead at 2-1, and the quarterback's teammates are taking note of his resilience.

"That's exactly how he's been since the minute 12 retired," wide receiver Chester Rogers said. "He's had this 'I'm the captain now' attitude - just this look that told us all, 'I'm ready. Let's roll.'"

Linebacker Anthony Walker said, "(I've) been saying all along I believe in Jacoby. I played a full season with him in '17. I saw what he was about. That's my guy."
