Sanders: Broncos 'living in a world of suck'

Life could be better at Mile High.

After the Denver Broncos lost 27-16 to the Green Bay Packers to fall to 0-3, veteran wideout Emmanuel Sanders voiced his frustrations with the team's lack of success over the past few seasons, according to The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala.

"Times are tough around here. Obviously the past three years - it's been tough. Trying to get it right," said Sanders. "We sit at 0-3, living in a world of suck."

The Broncos have now lost seven straight games going back to the tail end of last season. The team has been in a sort of purgatory ever since the departure of Peyton Manning following the Broncos' Super Bowl 50 win in 2016, putting together a less-than-ideal 20-28 record with no playoff appearances since then.

"Football is still fun, but it's not so much fun when you're losing, especially when you prepare as hard as you can," said Sanders, who had just 10 yards on two grabs Sunday. "But there's always next week, so I'm optimistic."

Though the Broncos have continued to struggle in 2019, Sanders was having something of a renaissance during the first two weeks; The SMU product had 16 grabs for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns before Week 3's dud.

Sanders and the Broncos will look to bounce back and get their first win of the season next week when the Jacksonville Jaguars come to Mile High.
