The New York Jets are down another quarterback.

Trevor Siemian suffered an apparent ankle injury during the second quarter of Monday's game against the Cleveland Browns. The injury occurred as he was being taken to the ground.

Third-stringer Luke Falk took over at quarterback. Starter Sam Darnold is out with mononucleosis.

Falk was the Tennessee Titans' sixth-round selection in the 2018 draft. He had yet to attempt a regular-season pass before entering Monday's contest. The 24-year-old completed 80% of his attempts while throwing two touchdown passes and zero interceptions in the preseason.

Siemian completed just three of his six attempts for three yards before exiting.

Jets head coach Adam Gase told ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters the team's emergency quarterback is running back Le'Veon Bell.
