Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed has been suspended for six games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

The 26-year-old provided a statement on Twitter Monday.

Reed is being disciplined for a 2017 incident in which he was not charged or arrested, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Police in Bellevue, Wash., responded to a complaint from a woman regarding an assault in April 2017.

Reed finished second on the Seahawks in sacks in 2018 with 10.5 behind only Frank Clark, who has since been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.
