Johnathan Joseph expects the NFL to have a strong British presence in the future, a result of the league's gradually increasing presence overseas.

"It's only a matter of time before we have a (British) player on a roster," the Houston Texans cornerback told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

While the NFL has employed players from the United Kingdom over the years, most of the notable ones - like Jay Ajayi, Osi Umenyiora, Sammy Morris, and Domonique Foxworth - grew up in the United States.

In an effort to grow the league globally, the NFL has staged at least one regular-season game in London every year since 2007. It has a four-game series set for 2019, and the Texans will face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in one of those contests.

"The NFL's doing so much to promote our football over here," Joseph said, who's in London hosting events and spreading awareness for the NFL. "You find a talent pool like they have here, and they start to work at getting better, and, in time, I think you'll see several players in the NFL coming from here."

Joseph is one of eight NFLers promoting the league and American football across the pond.
