Jalen Ramsey is looking to break the cornerback market wide open in 2020.
In a recent Instagram Live video alongside teammate Leonard Fournette, Ramsey insisted he'll ask for an "ungodly" amount of money from the Jacksonville Jaguars when it comes time to negotiate a new deal.
"They're going to say ... 'We can't get a little discount, 20 percent off?" Ramsey added, shaking his head. "I'm going to tell them, 'Last year, you all could have got that discount. This year? Nuh-uh.'"
Ramsey recently told reporters that the Jaguars said an extension isn't on the table this season. There are still two years remaining on his current deal after Jacksonville exercised his $13.7-million, fifth-year option, but the star defender plans to receive an extension before the contract runs out.
Ramsey has emerged as one of the NFL's top cornerbacks after the Jaguars selected him fifth overall in 2016. He's a two-time Pro Bowler and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2017.
The 24-year-old will earn a base salary of $3.634 million in 2019.
