The Cincinnati Bengals announced they re-signed linebacker Preston Brown to a three-year contract on Wednesday.

Brown's deal is worth up to $21 million, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Brown first signed with the Bengals last offseason and went on to play in seven games, recording 42 tackles and two interceptions. However, he ended the campaign on injured reserve with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old spent the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills, who selected him in the third round of the 2014 draft. He led the NFL with 144 tackles in 2017.
