The Oakland Raiders have been busy adding talent during the open negotiating period and appear to have landed a new safety.

Former Los Angeles Rams safety Lamarcus Joyner plans to sign a four-year deal with the Raiders, a source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter. His contract will be worth $42 million, with $16.7 million in guaranteed money, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Joyner, who's played with the Rams since 2014, is expected to replace Marcus Gilchrist and Reggie Nelson in the Raiders' defensive secondary. Oakland ranked 19th in pass defense in 2018 and collected 14 interceptions.

Joyner had four picks across the past two seasons.
