The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a three-year extension with Tavon Young that will make him the NFL's highest-paid nickel cornerback, sources told Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

The contract reportedly pays Young $25.8 million over three seasons and contains a maximum value of $29 million. Baltimore's expected to formally announce the deal Friday at a press conference.

Young was a key cog in the Ravens' top-ranked defense last season, racking up 37 tackles, two sacks, and one interception.

The 24-year-old was a fourth-round pick of Baltimore in 2016 out of Temple.
