People in Kansas City and beyond have been stepping up to help the homeless man who came to the aid of Chiefs offensive lineman Jeff Allen last weekend.

Dave Cochran was driving down U.S. Highway 40 in Kansas City on Saturday when he noticed Allen's car stuck in the snow and stopped to help. Allen was able to track Cochran down afterward and rewarded him with tickets to Sunday's AFC Championship Game against New England.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page was set up to raise money for Cochran, and donations had reached $15,351 as of Wednesday morning - quickly surpassing the initial $10,000 goal.

"I hope this gives Dave the leg up to get on the path that he wants," Justin Manford, who started the GoFundMe page, told Joe Robertson and Glenn E. Rice of the Kansas City Star, adding that he was "flabbergasted" by how quickly the page reached its goal.
