The New York Giants have traded defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and a fourth-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a third- and a fourth-round selection.

The Giants are moving to a 3-4 defense, an awkward fit for the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder who has spent the past eight seasons in the Big Apple.

New York will carry $15 million in dead money by moving Pierre-Paul.

For the Bucs, it's a significant and much-needed upgrade to their pass-rush following a season in which they finished dead last in team sacks (22).

Pierre-Paul joins a revamped line that now boasts Vinny Curry, Gerald McCoy, Noah Spence, and Beau Allen.
