Larry Fitzgerald confirms he'll return for 15th season

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

The legend of Larry Fitzgerald lives on, as the 34-year-old wide receiver confirmed Thursday he intends to return to the Arizona Cardinals for his 15th season.

Fitzgerald signed a one-year contract extension with the Cardinals in November, but said he would still contemplate retirement at the end of the season.

The ageless veteran went over 1,000 receiving yards in 2017 for the third year in a row and the ninth time in his career. He sits third on the NFL's all-time receiving list, needing 390 yards to move past Terrell Owens for second place.

Fitzgerald, who will turn 35 before the start of the 2018 season, has spent his entire career with the Cardinals.
