The Kansas City Chiefs suspended corner Marcus Peters for Sunday's divisional matchup with the Oakland Raiders, but the ban may stem from more than his outburst during last week's game against the New York Jets.

The suspension also involved an argument with a coach while on the way to the airport after last week's game, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on "Good Morning Football Weekend."

Peters threw a referee's flag into the stands during the Jets game and walked to the locker room on the assumption he had been ejected, though he wasn't.

The Chiefs will have to face the fellow 6-6 Raiders with a chance to take the division lead without their top-flight corner.
