NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension is expected to be completed prior to or at the owners meeting on Dec. 13 in Dallas despite the ongoing disputes over the deal with Jerry Jones, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Goodell's extension reportedly could be worth up to $200 million over five years, from 2019-23. He could average $40 million a year, though his base salary will be in the single-digit millions and roughly 85 percent of the contract will be made up of bonuses, which will be subject to team owners' approval.

Jones reportedly threatened to "come after" Goodell after the commissioner leveled a six-game suspension at Ezekiel Elliott for domestic violence allegations and warned the NFL he will consider a lawsuit if the extension is pushed through.

However, efforts to delay the deal have been "meaningfully" dealt with, one source told Schefter.

The meeting will allow the Dallas Cowboys owner to express his concerns about Goodell, but it appears his issues won't change the rest of the owners' minds.
