NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith isn't going anywhere anytime soon, as the NFLPA selection committee voted 14-0 to unanimously re-elect the 53-year-old, NFLPA president Eric Winston announced Tuesday.

"After a comprehensive and professional process in line with our Constitution, the NFLPA selection committee has unanimously selected DeMaurice Smith to continue in the role as our executive director. Congratulations to De and we know there is more work to be done," Winston said.

Smith also released a statement, expressing his gratitude to the committee for showing faith in his leadership.

"This union is centered on player leadership," Smith said. "I am proud of their commitment, humbled by their trust in me and honored to serve. There is more work to be done."

The terms of Smith's re-election will run for the next three seasons, according to Jim Trotter of ESPN, which also aligns with the final year of the NFL's current collective bargaining agreement.

Smith has held the position of executive director for the NFLPA since Mar. 15, 2009, at which time he was also elected unanimously.
