Watch: Berry vows to come back 'better than ever' before Achilles surgery

Few NFL players have overcome more than Eric Berry off the field, and the Kansas City Chiefs' star safety doesn't intend to let his latest setback keep him down.

"I'm coming back man, like better than ever. I'm coming back to change the game," Berry said in a hospital bed before his season-ending Achilles surgery.

Berry was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2014, but was declared cancer free in 2015 and played in all 16 games that season and in 2016.

Considering his history, it's more than likely he'll live up to his word.
