Cutler: DeVante Parker is a faster Alshon Jeffery

Although the Miami Dolphins were handily defeated in a 31-7 rout by the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, Jay Cutler is sufficiently impressed by his new teammates.

Cutler went 3-of-6 for 24 yards, before giving way to a host of backup options.

The veteran quarterback wasn't altogether concerned by the result and heaped particular praise on wide receiver DeVante Parker.

"A faster Alshon," Cutler noted to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, referring to his former Bears teammate Alshon Jeffery.

Jeffery signed a one-year, $14-million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in March and is expected to be a pivotal part of their offense.

For the time being, Cutler is still developing a camaraderie with his wide receivers, but the pieces are in place for the Dolphins to make a second consecutive playoff appearance.
