Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis announced Tuesday that NFL owners signed off on his team's lease for its new $1.9-billion stadium in Las Vegas, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"It was a big step. ... a well-done process," said Davis.

The lease is for 30 years with options afterward, reports Rapoport.

USA TODAY Sports' Tom Pelissero reports the Raiders are aiming to break ground on the stadium in Sin City during the first quarter of 2018, if not sooner.

The Las Vegas stadium board unanimously approved a conditional lease for the Raiders last week.
