It seems the Cleveland Browns could have a rejuvenated Odell Beckham Jr. on the field this season following his relatively disappointing 2019 campaign.

During a roundtable discussion posted Monday on Beckham's YouTube channel, New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton spoke about seeing a more confident side to the wide receiver while working out together this offseason.

"We was working out not too long ago and I was seeing this side that it was just like, he believing in himself," Newton said. "It's kind of like that scene in 'Lion King,' right? When Simba looking in that water. I'm like, 'Bro, do you not know who you are, bro? You gotta roar, bro.'"

Beckham went on to explain that he felt like he had to tone down his "roar" due to criticism.

"When that roar that I have was, not different than anybody else, but for some reason to me it felt different because it was me who was personally being attacked," he said. "So that roar that I have in being the person that I was, it was like it was too much for people. So I was trying to tone it down."

Beckham appeared in all 16 games for the Browns in 2019 but dealt with a sports hernia throughout the season and later underwent core muscle surgery. He finished with 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns.
