Australian mural takes dig at LeBron over Morey comments

LeBron James continues to face backlash over his criticism of Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey's since-deleted tweet supporting pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

Australian street artist Lushsux responded to James' comments by painting a mural of the Los Angeles Lakers star alongside Chinese president Xi Jinping, who's depicted as Winnie the Pooh. The cartoon character was banned in China in 2017 over comparisons to the president.

The portrait of James is based on an image by another artist, Mister Morris.

James defended his remarks Thursday, telling reporters, "I gave thoughts on what I felt and how I saw things that transpired from that week that we were (in China)." He also said it would be the last time he spoke about the issue.
