Kawhi Leonard continues to be showered with love by Canadians after helping the Toronto Raptors bring the first NBA championship to the country.

The former Raptors star spoke highly of his fans north of the border following the Los Angeles Clippers' preseason game in Vancouver on Thursday night.

"Just going around in the summer time, even after me signing with the Clippers, Canadians came up to me and they said thank you for everything I've done," Leonard said, according to The Canadian Press. "They're very nice people."

Leonard received loud cheers from the crowd in Vancouver when he took the court for warmups, and again whenever he hit a shot during the game.

"Definitely a lot of fans here. It was nice to see, especially for Kawhi," Clippers rookie Terance Mann said. "It was awesome to see him come back to Canada and everybody give him a warm welcome."

Leonard will make his return to Toronto with the Clippers on Dec. 11.
