Measles vaccinations will be available to fans attending Sunday's Indianapolis 500.

IndyCar medical director Geoffrey Billows told The Associated Press that a "very limited supply" of vaccines will be available at the medical building near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum.

Billows said most insurance companies will cover the cost but encouraged fans to get vaccinated before arriving at the race.

A high number of measles cases have been reported in the U.S. this year as some people are choosing not to get vaccinated against the recommendations of public health experts.
