South African boxer Zolani Tete earned a spot in the record books Saturday night, delivering the fastest knockout in title fight history in his bout against Siboniso Gonya.
Tete floored Gonya with just one punch to retain his WBO bantamweight title, with the referee calling the fight after 11 seconds. The previous record was set in 1994 by former WBO super bantamweight champion Daniel Jimenez, who defeated Harald Geier in 17 seconds in 1994.
