The recruiting saga of Jaden Rashada appeared to reach its conclusion Wednesday as the four-star quarterback announced he's signing with Arizona State.

Rashada initially committed to Miami before flipping to Florida and signing with the Gators on the opening day of the early signing period in December. That decision wouldn't last long, as the evaporation of a reported $13-million NIL deal caused Rashada to request his release from Florida. The school eventually granted his wish to reopen his recruitment in January.

Rashada is rated by ESPN as the second-best dual-threat quarterback and 31st overall prospect in the class of 2023. His decision to join Arizona State represents a legacy move as his father played for the Sun Devils in the 1990s.

The California native's choice is a huge coup for Kenny Dillingham in his first recruiting cycle with Arizona State. The 32-year-old first-time head coach was a major part of Bo Nix's career renaissance at Oregon last season and could immediately turn the Sun Devils' offense around with a talent like Rashada.
