Wide receiver Joshua Moore is no longer with Texas, head coach Steve Sarkisian told reporters, according to The Athletic's Sam Khan Jr.

Sarkisian and Moore reportedly got into a heated argument at practice on Wednesday. However, Moore did play against Iowa State, catching two passes for 32 yards.

The first-year Texas coach dismissed reports of the argument, saying the staff simply "coaches hard" and "believes in discipline," Khan reports.

Moore started in five of the Longhorns' nine games this season, recording 265 yards on 24 receptions for three touchdowns, including two in the Red River Showdown loss against Oklahoma.

"The plan for Josh is to go into the portal. That's his option and opportunity to do that, that's what college football provides and we wish him the best of luck," Sarkisian said.

Xavier Worthy will continue to start at wide receiver for the Longhorns. He's featured in eight of nine games this season, recording eight touchdowns on 35 receptions for 679 yards.
