Quarterback Luke McCaffrey is entering the transfer portal after two seasons at Nebraska, according to Brad Crawford of 247 Sports.

McCaffrey started two games last year for the Cornhuskers during his redshirt freshman campaign but failed to lock down the position and finished the year on the bench. He posted a 1-1 record as a starter.

The former four-star recruit appeared in 11 games at Nebraska since joining the program in 2019, completing 57 of 88 pass attempts for 608 yards and three touchdowns against six interceptions.

He also added 530 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in that span.

Luke's older brother, Christian, is a running back who was drafted in the first round by the Carolina Panthers in 2017. His eldest brother, Max, played wide receiver at Duke and is currently the wide receivers coach at Northern Colorado, while his other brother, Dylan, recently entered the transfer portal after a brief stint at Michigan.

The Cornhuskers' depth chart at quarterback is now headlined by junior Adrian Martinez, the team's only signal-caller with playing experience in college football.

Nebraska offensive lineman Will Farniok and wide receiver Kade Warner are also expected to enter the portal, per Crawford.
