Georgia has landed the No. 2-ranked quarterback prospect on the ESPN 300.

Four-star pocket-passer Brock Vandagriff announced his commitment to Georgia on Tuesday. The Georgia native decommited from Oklahoma on Jan. 1, saying he wants to remain closer to home.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Vandagriff, who attends Prince Avenue Christian School, is the nation's No. 24 overall prospect.

Over eight games in 2019, the pivot threw for 2,471 yards and 31 touchdowns with three interceptions.

Though he's listed as a pro-style passer, Vandagriff was a significant running threat in high school. He racked up 1,000 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground in 2018 before producing 262 rushing yards and six touchdowns during an injury-shortened final season.

Graduate transfer Jamie Newman is the favorite to replace Jake Fromm as the Bulldogs' starter after joining the team from Wake Forest. Newman is eligible for one more year, so Vandagriff could push for the top job as early as 2021.
